Often times, our recorder cases don't last very long. The flap holder breaks off from opening and closing it. Sometimes a simple piece of tape fixes it, sometimes it doesn't. For something a little more sturdy, stylish and long-lasting, how about making a new one? There are ways to make it from duct tape, although I couldn't find instructions online. But here is one, using a necktie. MAKE SURE YOU ASK YOUR PARENT FIRST! Some of those ties are EXPENSIVE! Click the links below:

This young girl is such an inspiration it would be a shame NOT to share. You can watch the whole video or skip to about the middle, where you'll get to see how her occupational therapists and teachers made it possible for her to play violin in spite of her disability. Watch and be Wow'd!
