Laryngitis Remedy
ALWAYS ASK AN ADULT to ensure you will not have a reaction to any of the ingredients, and that you may safely cook the mixture before sipping.
INGREDIENTS:
1 cup apple cider (apple juice is okay too)
1 tbs apple cider vinegar (the cloudy kind is best)
1 tbs honey (local honey is best)
HEAT the apple cider (or juice)
When the liquid starts to steam,
ADD the rest of the ingredients and STIR
When the honey is completely melted and the mixture is starting to bubble, carefully pour into a heat-safe cup or mug.
Sip like tea - BE CAREFUL - IT'S GOING TO BE VERY HOT!
SUGGESTION: Ms. Degenhardt usually cooks this in a pot on the stove so if you want to try the microwave, speak to your parents about how much time it should take. Also be careful to use a cup or mug that is microwave safe!
ANOTHER SUGGESTION: make a whole thermos of this recipe so you can have it ready to sip all day as needed.
